Surface Finishes for MJF 3D Printing
MJF delivers consistently smooth surfaces straight off the printer. ECCOM offers four finish options through its in-house DyeMansion and mechanical finishing processes.
Natural PA12 light gray surface direct from the HP Jet Fusion 5600. Smooth, no visible layers, slight powder texture. Ready for immediate use.
High-pressure shot blasting delivers a uniform, matte-smooth surface with improved mechanical properties. Ideal for functional and visible parts.
Automated, certified color finishing via DyeMansion process. Full color penetration including UV-protective black. Consistent batch-to-batch output.
Certified military color tones and patterns for defense and tactical equipment. Batch-consistent output meeting military specification requirements.
From File to Finished Part in 3–5 Days
Why Choose MJF 3D Printing?
- Near-isotropic mechanical properties — uniform strength across XY and Z axes, unlike FDM or SLS where Z-axis is the weak direction
- No support structures needed — complex geometries, internal channels, and undercuts print cleanly without post-removal work
- Superior surface finish — PA 12 S Arkema achieves Ra 5.0–5.9 µm after finishing; standard SLS yields Ra 9.6–9.9 µm
- Full in-house post-processing — CNC milling, threading, DyeMansion color, and laser scanning under one roof in Tartu
- Production-ready repeatability — HP 5600 closed-loop thermal control ensures consistent part-to-part dimensions across batches
- Fast lead times from Europe — 3–5 business days production + 1–2 days EU delivery; no customs delays for EU clients
Every part inspected on our 5-axis automated laser scanner (5 µm accuracy, 2 µm repeatability). Certified to ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015. Dimensional inspection reports on request.
